On irony’s persistence I live today,
Entangled in madness, I wander astray,
Outdone by demons of less divine a fate,
Envy takes control,
Of what was once hate.
Tired at last, I fall to my knees,
I bow before shame,
And salvage the remains of my crippled pleas.
I seek shelter from this world,
Where the taunters speak,
Of a dream now gone leaving me frail and weak.
Aided by none but humor alone,
I pray for my brothers
While for myself, I seek the answers unknown.
For now I live,
Till my last breath has gone,
Then shall I leave behind my legacy,
As the mastermind’s pawn.
