Gypsies

In a state of bliss, a gentle kiss,
I took from her what's mine,
A companion to pain, joy and shame,
A beam of light precedes her,
Hand in hand, a victorious clan,
What love is there that binds us?
We seek and play our artistic games,
Weaving a web of lore behind us,

Whiff, sniff, a mournful kiss,
The light in us shines brighter,
Stumble, bumble, but still walking straight,
The scent of our skins aligning our fate,
High-tech machines and lazy German afternoons,
We hail them higher and look on,

Traveling, telling fortunes,
My world, my devotion,
Its all for you.

Lazy Eye

|
Look into my lazy eye,
Do you see the mist and haze?
Lethargically it looks back at you,
Flutters and avoids your skeptic gaze.
Come look into my left eye,
Intoxicated on life's merry ways,
It shows no ambition, it's just passing time,
Almost as if it was once deeply scathed.

So look into my lazy eye,
For three decades it has been on display,
It lays bare now before your contempt,
It pleads for you to stay,
So look now into my left eye,
Misunderstood with a heart of gold,
A fallen soldier in a misplaced battle,
You cast it and it assumes the mold.

And once you are done,
Look towards my right eye,
Vigilant and guarded, It has been watching you,
A master planner, the chief thief,
It has been loathing you for judging me!

I Am Stone

Would you cherish heaven,
If heaven was made of guilt?
Would you cherish a child,
If his fate was made of foul skin?

Would it be a wonder,
If you chose to give in?
